The Pool of Trainers

  • What is the Pool of Trainers?

The YFJ's Pool of Trainers is a group of up to 40 trainers coming from and active in the Member Organisations of the YFJ, covering by their expertise a variety of different fields of youth work. The Pool is fully replenished each two years, however, a partial replenishment of the Pool takes place at the end of the first year of the mandate allowing to have an effective POT able to address the growing demand for training and facilitating. The members of the POT come from all over Europe and are under the age of 35 as required by the Statutes of the European Youth Forum.

  • What are the purposes of the Pool?
  1. The Pool is an open resource for our Member Organisations. The trainers can provide both trainings, facilitation and moderation.
  2. The Pool provides strategic advice and develops methodologies for YFJ activities.
  3. The Pool members are also involved in the events, organised or co-organised with other partners and institutions such as the Council of Europe, the European Commission and others.

  • Who are the members of the current Pool of Trainers 2009-2010?

Take a look at our easy-to-use database of the Pool of Trainers, developed in cooperation with www.salto-youth.net and their TOY Database. It will help you identify the profile you need - expertise, language or any other specific skills.

  • How to request a trainer?

Any organisation can request a trainer for its event using the following form (0319-06) and following the guidelines (Guidelines for MOs when requesting a trainer-final).

  • How to become a trainer of the Pool?

The Pool of Trainers is replenished on a regular basis, which gives the opportunity for new trainers to become members, and the last full replenishment took place in January 2009 and a partial is foreseen to take place at the end of 2009. Candidates have to be active young trainers from a Member Organisation of the YFJ. Calls for membership of the Pool of Trainers are sent to our Member Organisations prior to its replenishment, but don't hesitate to contact the Secretariat of the YFJ for further information on the topic.
