Mobility

Promoting an open Europe that encourages the mobility and exchange of young people is a key aim for the European Youth Forum. As extensive and discouraging visa procedures continue to be a major obstacle to the mobility of young people throughout Europe, the actions taken within the policy area of Mobility in 2007 have been directed at gathering information, raising awareness and and lobbying the EU decision makers for the inclusion of young people in the different migration and visa legislation as holders of a specific status due to their role of society developer and carriers of an open and democratic society in the time to come. All this is done in light of a campaign against visa obstacles entitled: “GET VISAble” as well as the day-to-day constant engagement of the European Youth Forum on mobility of young people..
