Social Platform

The European Youth Forum is a member of the Platform of European Social NGOs (Social Platform), a group which regroups 37 European non-governmental organisations, federations and networks that are working to build an inclusive society and promote the social dimension of the European Union. It includes organisations of women, older people, people with disabilities, people who are unemployed, migrants, people affected by poverty and homelessness, gays and lesbians, children and families. The European Youth Forum also maintains close working relationships with many of the Member Organisations of the Social Platform.

The European Youth Forum is an NGO-Member of the European Policy Centre and the Centre for European Policy Studies , two Brussels-based "think-tanks" providing expert information and services on EU policies.

European Citizens Action Service (ECAS)

Euro Citizen Action Service (ECAS), an independent non-profit organisation created in 1990, is a "citizens watchdog" campaigning for the right of individuals and NGOs to be heard by the EU institutions. The European Youth Forum is a member of ECAS, which aims to create a better balance between the public interest and corporate lobbying, thus promoting a citizens' Europe. Areas of work include freedom of movement of citizens, access to EU documents and information on European funding opportunities for NGOs. In 2001 the European Youth Forum co-operated with ECAS in the operation of a telephone and e-mail hotline on questions related to the freedom of movement, particularly of students, volunteers and newly qualified job seekers.

European Foundation Centre (EFC)

The European Youth Forum is an associate of the European Foundation Centre (EFC), based in Brussels. The EFC promotes and underpins the work of foundations and corporate funders active in Europe. It has a membership of over 160 independent funders. The EFC represents the interests of member organisations towards in its contacts with third parties such as national governments and European Union institutions; it facilitates networking, and provides information to reinforce member organisation programmes and initiatives.
