50th anniversary of the Treaties of Rome

National debates and INGYO consultations

The pre-Summit should be followed by national debates and discussions within INGYOs, in which the participants in the pre-Summit should be actively involved. National Youth Councils are invited to organise debates at national level, for which they can receive support from the Commission representation and/or the European Parliament information office in their country. INGYOs are likewise encouraged to hold internal consultations on the basis of the discussion document.

On the basis of the feedback from the national debates and the discussions within INGYOs, conclusions have been prepared, and will be presented to the European Council, the other European institutions and the press at the Youth Summit in Rome on 23— 25 March 2007.
