On Europe Day, the YFJ calls on EU leaders to commit to reinforcing its partnership with young Europeans

The European Youth Forum (YFJ) is celebrating the Europe Day, 9 May, by launching an initiative urging key EU leaders to sign a joint declaration in order to strengthen the cooperation between young people and European decision-makers. The initiative, presented to the President of the European Commission, the President of the European Parliament and the Prime Minister of Slovenia, currently holding the Presidency of the European Council, is a response to the proposal made by the European Commission in September 2007. Let's make EU policies more youthful

Launch of written declaration on 22 April, Strasbourg -Phone interviews can also be arranged-

On the initiative of the European Youth Forum (YFJ), a written declaration calling on the EU to devote more attention to youth empowerment in EU policies will be launched on 22 April in Strasbourg, sponsored by five Members of the European Parliament. (read more)

 

       

YFJ Pool of Trainers meeting, 10-11 May, Rijeka, Croatia

The YFJ Pool of Trainers (PoT), along with experts in different fields of youth work and youth training from across Europe, are meeting on 10-11 May in Rijeka , Croatia .

The purpose of the meeting is to exchange experiences and work on a series of guidelines, developed by a PoT sub-group earlier this year, on how training methodologies can foster inclusiveness. (read more)

Migration & youth: a hot topic at the YFJ Council of Members

The European Youth Forum (YFJ) gathered representatives from its 97 Member Organisations for the Council of Members meeting (COMEM) to reflect on the work achieved by the youth movement over the last six months and shape the future activity of their platform. This time round, 160 delegates got together on 2-3 May in Barcelona , hosted by the Catalan National Youth Council. (read more)
