Young people have the right to...

Education

The European Youth Forum stands for the right to education should be guaranteed to everyone, in all settings, throughout a lifetime.

Quality education must ensure equality of opportunity to all! We believe that learning can take place in all kinds of settings - not only in traditional environments like schools, colleges and vocational training. Many life skills important for social and personal development can be gained through participation in youth organisations, volunteering and other activities.

We call for youth organisations to be recognised as quality education providers and for non-formal education and informal learning to be valued and recognised for being key to the development of young people.

Policy Paper on the Erasmus+ successor programme

The policy paper outlines the political demands of the European Youth Forum and its member organisations in view of the negotiations and adoptions of the Erasmus+ successor programme within the post-2020 EU Multiannual Financial Framework (MFF). While acknowledging that the Erasmus+ successor programme needs to cover education in all contexts and at all levels, be it formal education, non-formal education and informal learning, this policy paper focuses on the objectives of the separated youth and non-formal education chapter of the Erasmus+ successor Programme.
