UK: Prime Minister agrees to allow vote in Commons on Vote@16

The UK’s Prime Minister David Cameron has said he is happy to hold a vote in Parliament – the House of Commons – on extending the vote to 16 and 17-year-olds. Responding to a question from John Robertson MP regarding votes at 16 for the entire country, David Cameron said he was “happy for us to have a vote”. David Cameron reiterated that he personally thinks the right age is 18, but said that he would be happy to listen to the debate and the arguments put forward.
