The European Youth Forum does not exist in isolation, nor do we work in isolation. On the one hand, we are a platform of member organisations, providing the connection with over 15 million young people throughout Europe. On the other hand, we actively engage with institutions at the national, European and international levels through campaigns, communication and joint events. In this sense, partnerships are nothing new to the Youth Forum — we have fostered institutional partnerships for over 25 years. With our new partnership strategy, we aim to develop, advance, and expand our partnership approach. Our aim is to achieve greater social change for young people in Europe through the strengthening of the Youth Forum’s operational capacity, by diversifying its funding and increasing its outreach and independence.
We strongly believe that improving the conditions of youth throughout Europe is not a job to be left to a few, but requires the involvement of as many actors as possible. This includes our member organisations and the institutions, but also foundations, corporations, and other NGOs. By actively engaging with the private sector, we multiply our outreach (policy, campaigns, …) and consequently the possible impact we can have on society, as well as raising the profile of the Forum.
