Young people must have a strong voice in....

The Future of Europe

The European project depends on the ideas, ambition and determination of young people.

The European Youth Forum believes that the European project is the only viable path for a sustainable, social, prosperous and democratic Europe - for the people and for our planet. However, as young people and the most pro-European generation, we reject the current reality where political decisions alienate and exclude us from society. We are not being given the tools and means to fully unleash our potential. The European Union must come closer to its citizens.

The only direction to take is the one where young people are included in its decisions and at the centre of its policies. For the Future of Europe, we need to listen to the voices of young people.

EU budget: a rude awakening for youth

22. 07. 2020
Yesterday EU leaders celebrated the end of a historic Council meeting. After the second longest negotiations ever in the history of the EU, Member States were able to find an agreement on both Next Generation EU - the new EU funding instrument to support the post COVID-19 recovery, and the Multiannual Financial Framework (MFF) 2021-27, the EU’s seven-year budget.

The European Youth Blueprint To Recovery

We, the young generation, might not be the most hit by the COVID-19 health crisis, but its consequences will form our disadvantage for decades to come, if no measures are taken. Since the beginning of the crisis, the European Youth Forum has worked to ensure that no young person was left behind and that youth organisations were supported in their solidarity actions. With this European Youth Blueprint to Recovery, we present a series of policy recommendations aiming at influencing the institutional response to the crisis.

#NextGenerationEU must not leave our generation behind!

28. 05. 2020
Yesterday on 27 May, the European Commission presented its revamped proposal for the next long-term budget (Multiannual Financial Framework, MFF) for 2021-2027. The financial and social impact of the Covid-19 pandemic is shattering and the Commission is also seeking to rapidly aid the Union and Member States with a new ‘recovery instrument’ called Next Generation EU.
