Youth Forum join thousands for #ClimateMarch

02. 05. 2017

This weekend, European Youth Forum Board Member Sebastiaan Rood joined the #ClimateMarch that advocates for global action against climate change. More than 150,000 people gathered for the march in Washington D.C. with even more participants worldwide, to demand action to save our planet for young people and future generations.

"Young people, as a group who will be most impacted by climate change, have a huge stake in mitigating it. Now is the time for world leaders to deliver upon the made commitment to cap the increase in global temperature to 2°C, and young people should sit at the table when these decisions are made", said Sebastiaan.

The Youth Forum will keep on striving for a global transition to a green, carbon neutral and circular economic system, with the full participation of young people, for the sake of our planet, its inhabitants and future generations.
