Youth organisations
Rural Youth Europe (RYEurope) is an European Non-Governmental Organisation for rural youth. Established in 1957, it functions as an umbrella for youth organisations working to promote and activate young people in the countryside. It provides international training possibilities and works as an intermediary between national organisations, youth organisations and public institutions on an European level. Rural Youth Europe is a member-led organisation: democratically constituted and led by young people for young people.

The mid-term review of the current Erasmus+ Programme (2021-2027) set to be published in July 2025, provides a critical opportunity to reflect on the programme’s successes and challenges while preparing for the next phase. In light of this, the European Youth Forum and its members must actively campaign for a significantly increased budget for Erasmus+ under the next MFF.

Promoting and supporting the work of the Council of Europe

The Council of Europe is celebrating its 75th anniversary in 2024, however it must be noted that the values of the Council of Europe are increasingly being questioned or restricted by member states. Young people expect a future in which they can invoke their rights, where being involved as a volunteer to support these values is possible, and trust in democratic institutions can grow. The Council of Europe must stand for this now and in the future.
