Flemish Youth Council (VJR)

In February 2026, the main trial of Enes Hocaoğulları — a Youth Delegate to the Congress of Local and Regional Authorities of the Council of Europe — will take place, following politically motivated charges related to his public statements delivered within an official Council of Europe setting.

European institutions, governments, and online platforms have worked to make social media safer, but some proposals risk undermining youth rights. Measures driven by fear may backfire, causing circumvention and harm. Young people could ultimately be worse off as a result.

United Nations Youth Delegates (UNYDs) and the European Youth Forum advocate for meaningful youth engagement in all policy areas. This motion supports enhancing coordination between UNYDs, YFJ, and European countries to amplify youth voices and ensure strong, unified impact in UN policymaking.

Transport makes up about a quarter of the EU’s greenhouse gas emissions and harms the environment. This motion advances the European Youth Forum’s goals on sustainability, inclusion, and participation by calling for greener, fairer, and more accessible transport policies.

Youth Organisations across Europe are facing an increasingly challenging situation. Political and economic circumstances are leading to shrinking civic spaces and therefore a shrinking chance of youth organisations to fulfil their purpose and represent the voice of young people. The European Youth Forum is in need of expressing it's profound concern with the situation, especially regarding the human rights crisis experienced by so many young people.

The General Assembly of the European Youth Forum approved a motion calling the European Union to support the re-association of Switzerland to the Erasmus+ programme and ensure that all European countries are granted access to the programme.
