Our Council of Members and General Assembly 2025 wraps up in Kandersteg
On 7-8 November 2025, hundreds of young people gathered at Kandersteg International Scout Centre 🇨🇭 for our Council of Members (COMEM) and General Assembly (GA). They all came together for two days practising democracy through in-depth discussions and conversations around the issues that really impact and matter to young people all over Europe.
🎉 A huge congratulations to our two new members
We’re thrilled to welcome the European Disability Forum (EDF) and the Forum of European Muslim Youth and Student Organisations (FEMYSO) to our membership. We're happy to see our platform expanding, bringing new perspectives and fresh winds to our collective work.
📣 Policy in action: Motions that matter
Delegates didn’t just vote on new members, they also voted on ideas. A record amount of 13 motions were passed, shaping our collective stance on key youth issues. From tackling menstrual poverty to an enlarged and more inclusive Europe, it was a powerful reminder that young people are ready to lead change.
💬 What’s next?
While the Council of Members (COMEM) and General Assembly (GA) involved many policy discussions, it was also a vital meeting for making key decisions about strengthening our processes and mandates. Our members extended the mandate of the Secretary General until November 2026. We look forward to seeing all our members again in six months for our next Statutory Meeting, where we will elect a new board.
