Empowering Youth through Fair and Green Tax Policy
Young Europeans face significant challenges from the climate and biodiversity crises, economic austerity, and rising inequality. The European Youth Forum advocates for a reformed tax system that addresses these intertwined issues. In this paper, we lay the foundations for a system that promotes fairness, environmental sustainability, and inclusivity.
Our vision emphasises social justice, green principles, and meaningful youth participation in financial decisions that shape our future. By recommending policies that close corporate loopholes, shift tax burdens from labour, and support initiatives for youth empowerment and financial independence, we aim to build a tax framework that supports our generations and a sustainable Europe for its young citizens.
