The Cyprus Youth Council (CYC) was established in 1996 and serves as the official platform for representing youth organizations in Cyprus. It acts as the coordinating body with the government and as the official institution representing organized youth organizations in international and European forums. Mission and Vision of the CYC: - Acts as a communication platform for all youth organizations in Cyprus. - Organizes events, seminars and workshops to provide member organizations with opportunities to exchange best practices and experiences on youth-related issues. - Serves as an information hub for its members, facilitating participation in European programs and international conferences. - Leads the implementation of the EU Youth Diloague, promoting the engagement of all young people in Cyprus in decision-making on youth issues. - Represents the collective positions of organized youth groups and advocates for policy changes on various youth-related matters, such as employment, housing, recognition of informal and non-formal education, and the abolition of unpaid internships.

While they offer many advantages and their contributions remain essential, their presence at EU Youth Dialogue conferences has noticeably diminished in recent years. This development raises concerns about the inclusivity and effectiveness of the dialogue process, as the absence of INGYOs could limit the diversity of perspectives and expertise in youth-related decision-making.

The Cyprus Problem: Its international dimension and how young Cypriots are affected by it

This resolution calls for the cessation of hostilities and, with the consent of the Government of Cyprus, the deployment of a UN Peacekeeping Force to prevent the recurrence of violence and for the Republic of Cyprus to take the responsibility to restore law and order to prevent further violence in Cyprus.
