We, the members of the European Youth Forum (YFJ), draw attention on the importance of the Youth in Action (YiA) programme and especially the administrative funding. These programmes aim at responding to the evolution and needs of young people on the European level, at inspiring a sense of active citizenship, solidarity and tolerance among young Europeans and at involving them in shaping the Union’s future. With these aims in mind, the YiA programme and especially the administrative funding allow many Youth NGOs (YNGOs) to exist.

In April 2025, Lviv officially opened its year as European Youth Capital. We were represented by our president and two board members. Among them was Sina Riz à Porta, the board member responsible for the European Youth Capital. What follows is a personal memoir from Sina’s three days in Lviv.
